Many thanks are due to the 84 members and Guests who made our 55th Annual Burns Supper such a success. Considering we had it on 13th March 2015 rather than the 25th January it was a delight to see a full hall appreciate the recitations and speeches. A special thanks must go to our newest member Joe Blake who on his 13th Birthday entertained us with Burns “Address to a Toothache” for which he was presented with his membership on the evening by our Captain and Chairman of the evening Craig Cochrane.

The final night of the quiz league is being held on Friday 27 March.  The current league table is below. At present there is a dead heat for 1^st place, with ‘The Cathkin Posse’ and ‘Fraggle Rocks’ both on 24 points and have both answered 279 questions correctly over the first 3 rounds.  I look forward to seeing you all for the last leg.

Members and visitors will have noticed that there are a lot of works going on around the Car Park and putting green area. I big thank you must be made not only to the grounds staff but to Volunteer Members John Lamb, Rennie Dobinson and Bobby Robertson. These members deserve a well earned thanks from you all and a small libation at the bar when you see them.
