Additional Optional Medal not in Fixture Book. Sunday 17th July 2016

The green staff are working very hard and will have completed the hollow tineing and the two top dressings by the weekend. This week was kept free but due to their work it allows the Handicap Convenor to arrange an additional Optional Medal on Sunday 17th July 2016.

A reminder that this medal does what it says on the tin. It is optional allowing bounce games to play on the same day. It can be played as a fourball but if you do please be aware of other players on the course as having to putt out can slow down a game.

It is open to Full, Temporary, Associates and the three junior members who qualify.

Martin Reilly the Handicap Convenor has updated the Touch screen in the lounge and you can log in as per any medal.

OAKS WINNERS 2016

Congratulations to our winners and to our runners up, Billy Campbell, Arthur Reid and Brian Welsh. I did not include their playing partner John “FFS” Philibin as every time I saw him he was playing like a cow.

It was great to feel that old Cambuslang atmosphere out there on the course and in the clubhouse.

Long may it continue.
